Proven Success – Across Industries
Consulting: Illinois Holocaust Museum
Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center reached out to VRAR Chicago for help expanding access to their immersive VR exhibits across schools, libraries, and museums nationwide.
We translated their on-site VR experience into a scalable solution, designing a turnkey deployment kit that included hardware, software, and a simplified logistics and setup plan. Educators simply open the case, follow the quick-start guide, and press play.
The result: Over 120 deployments reaching more than 10,000 views – without requiring a single technical staff member on-site.
Consulting: State Police Agency
Stock Police VR Training Image from InVeris
A state police agency engaged VRAR Chicago to evaluate virtual reality training solutions – beyond firearm use – tailored to law enforcement challenges.
Unlike most VR programs focused on shooting simulation, this agency needed immersive training for crime scene management, de-escalation tactics, and engagement with individuals experiencing mental health crises. We documented their operational and training needs, evaluated available VR platforms, and delivered a detailed implementation plan.
The result: A customized VR training strategy projected to improve outcomes, expand training access, and reduce annual delivery costs by several million dollars.
Event Production: Chicago XR Summit
VRAR Chicago served as the lead producer of the Chicago XR Summit, a one-day immersive technology showcase designed to connect business leaders, educators, and innovators with real-world XR solutions.
Our team managed all aspects of the event, from venue booking and exhibitor coordination to sponsorships, ticketing, marketing, and day-of operations. With over 600 tickets registered, it became the largest XR-focused event in the Midwest.
The result: Nearly every major economic development and innovation organization in Chicago partnered with the event, and all participating exhibitors reported positive outcomes.
Consulting: VR Career Awareness Day
A community college client asked VRAR Chicago to solve a key challenge: how to offer meaningful career exploration to k-12 schools through VR without burdening teachers or school infrastructure.
We designed a turnkey program that delivers hands-on career simulations to 300 students in a single school day, with minimal schedule disruption, at a low cost per student, and without using school IT resources. Students select from over 30 career path simulations aligned with state education mandates.
The result: High student engagement, positive educator feedback, and direct interest from other statewide education programs looking to replicate the model.
Workshop: Discovery (Introduction to XR)
A leading advertising firm hired VRAR Chicago to deliver a Discovery Workshop for its client services and creative departments, aiming to deepen their understanding of immersive technology and how it’s being applied across the advertising industry.
We delivered a one-hour strategic briefing followed by a two-hour hands-on demo session at the client’s office, engaging over 30 team members.
The result: Attendees rated the session 4.8 out of 5 stars, with 100% reporting they learned something new about how XR could impact their work.
Consulting: Commercial Real Estate
A commercial real estate firm with prior experience using VR for residential sales engaged VRAR Chicago to develop immersive strategies to accelerate the sale and leasing of vacant commercial units.
After evaluating the firm’s marketing and sales process, we delivered two targeted solutions: a cross-device VR/MR application that let buyers visualize potential configurations in raw spaces, and a 360° photo and video solution to showcase built-out units.
The result: Both strategies, during prototype testing, reduced the average sale and leasing time of evaluated properties.
Event Production: Magic Leap Developer Bootcamp
VRAR Chicago partnered with Magic Leap to bring one of the industry’s most anticipated AR platforms directly to the local developer community.
With limited device availability and high costs keeping most developers from accessing the Magic Leap One, VRAR Chicago negotiated with Magic Leap to host their first-ever offsite Developer Bootcamp in Chicago – providing 35 headsets, 8 instructors, and a full day of hands-on training at 1871.
The result: Every seat was filled, developer feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and Magic Leap expanded the program into a national tour, returning to Chicago later for a four-day residency.
Consulting: Manufacturing
A large manufacturer asked VRAR Chicago to identify strategic opportunities where XR could drive operational efficiency. After consulting with senior leadership, an immediate opportunity was selected: using immersive technology to streamline the assembly line design process.
We documented the company’s existing workflow, then equipped a small executive team with VR hardware and remote collaboration tools. While a larger stakeholder group pursued traditional methods, the XR-enabled team completed a full assembly line design – reviewed and validated entirely in VR.
The result: The immersive design was approved ahead of schedule, reducing project time by 85% and delivering a significant cost savings to the organization.
